Global WatchList®
Accuity’s proprietary collection of watch list screening databases is an aggregation of specially designated individuals and entities compiled from dozens of regulatory and enhanced due diligence lists from around the world. Global WatchList provides the ideal framework for your customer screening and interdiction filtering processes.
Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance solutions are becoming increasingly important to impede money laundering and terrorist financing, prevent corruption and report financial fraud for all companies around the globe. KYC policies should not be viewed as an optional undertaking as infractions against compliance regulations, no matter how minor, can lead to severe sanctions and penalties. To enhance your KYC initiatives and increase compliance, your organization has to:
- Abide by government regulations to avoid violations that are punishable by steep sanctions or fines
- Combat the financing of terrorism and money laundering
- Screen for entities that pose a risk to your business including financial loss, criminal complicity or embarrassment
- Practice Know Your Customer policies
Accuity continually expands Global WatchList, adding regulatory and enhanced due diligence data and lists offering you the most up-to-date and accurate information to help protect your business.
Global WatchList is composed of two categories: Regulatory Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence, including Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs). An array of lists is offered for each in a “cafeteria style” format—you choose only those lists that are necessary to meet your compliance needs. Accuity’s Global WatchList is delivered ready-to-use within all of Accuity’s Screening Applications including FACFilter®, FACS PC®, FACLineTM and SWIFT Alliance Batch FACFilter. It is also readily compatible with other third-party filters.
- Regulatory Due Diligence (RDD) Lists—Composed of more than 30 regulatory screening lists compiled from international sources with enhancements made by Accuity. Doing business with an entity on an RDD list is restricted or prohibited by a government or official group such as the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) or European Union. Violations are punishable by law.
- Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Lists—A range of EDD Lists including the World Bank Debarred List, the United States Marshals List, the Interpol Wanted Fugitives List and International Arms Traffickers provide the information necessary to make ”best judgment“ decisions over which actions should be taken toward a particular customer’s account as doing business with an entity on an EDD list is not forbidden but should be watched and/or recorded.
- Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) Due Diligence Database—Accuity’s PEPs Due Diligence Database, powered by WorldCompliance, details information necessary to determine if there are any PEPs amongst your clientele and if the funds administered on their behalf originated from corrupt sources.
